Sprott Global Resource Investments

Jon Sebastian

Investment Executive

The basic goal of the successful resource investor is to recognize and act upon mismatches between the price and value of resource assets.  The resource sector is inherently cyclical because of the capital intensive nature of exploring for and developing resource assets.  Sprott Global’s team of geologists, mining engineers and financial analysts evaluate resource assets around the world to identify potentially valuable mineral deposits and then aim to identify which of those assets or exploration potentials are undervalued in the markets.  As Rick Rule says, “You are either a contrarian or a victim”.

To avoid victimhood, Jon and Sprott Global also use our team’s resource sector expertise to identify management teams that should best deliver value to shareholders.  Jon focuses on getting in on early stage resource discoveries with significant potential and management teams that plan to minimize dilution.

Jon brings his background in geology and macroeconomic studies to the above task.  Drawing on Sprott Global’s expertise, experience and access in resource sectors worldwide, Jon focuses on the contrarian opportunities among the many available venture resource investments.  He works closely with Rick Rule and the entire Sprott Global team to find investment opportunities which fulfill those criteria.  He looks forward to working with you and welcomes any questions you might have about resource investments.
