Site Visits

Tigris - Ugur Tepe, W Turkey - Jun 2014

Andrew Jackson made a site visit to Tigris Resources' Gokceada/Uğur Tepe licenses on June 22-3, 2014.  The licenses are located on the most remote part of Gokeada Island, W of the Gallipoli Peninsula. It is the only 'Greek Island' that is owned by Turkey.

The exploration  target is a large porphyry system that has had some previous exploration. Drilling and mapping to date suggests that the erosion surface is still high in the system.  There is strong argillic/phyllic alteration around the northern rim of the porphyry where a number of high grade (3-10 g/t Au) channel samples have been taken.  This area appears to hold potential for high sulfidation epithermal gold. Yuvacik East is a similar zone to the SE of the porphyry that has had only preliminary work to date.
