Pretium Resources (PVG) – Brucejack project, NW BC, western Canada - June 2013
Neil Adshead visited Pretium Resources’ Brucejack project in NW BC on 20 June 2013. This was our second visit to the vein swarm-hosted multi-million ounce high-grade gold-silver deposit. Changes since last year’s visit include road access from Highway 37, including a section along the receding Knipple Glacier, and establishing underground access to the mineralization. Brucejack occurs in spectacular country, with large mountains plus several ice-fields and glaciers visible on the helicopter ride in from Stewart. Pretium recently completed a feasibility study are the current focus is to drill out and then mine a 10,000 tonne ‘bulk sample’ from underground to determine how the mined grade compares to the resource estimate grade. The outcome from the test mining should be released before the end of 2013.
